Dr Divita Jhaveri
Rheumatologist
Dr Divita Jhaveri is an Australian trained Rheumatologist specialising in management of adult arthritis and connective tissue diseases.
After graduating from medicine (with Honours) from Queensland's James Cook University, Dr Jhaveri completed all her junior doctor training at the Princess Alexandra Hospital (PAH) followed by specialist training at the Townsville hospital, PAH and Gold Coast University Hospital.
Dr Jhaveri also practises publicly as staff specialist at the Logan and QE2 hospital. She also holds academic positions with the University of Queensland and research position at Griffith University where she investigates new aged immunotherapies. Majority of her publications have been in the field of utilising telehealth for management of chronic diseases and is a member of the Australian Rheumatology Association Her interest lies in providing longitudinal care for patients with chronic rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis and ankylosing spondylitis and connective tissue diseases such as Lupus, scleroderma and muscle diseases.
Dr Jhaveri strives to provide long term patient focussed care and also support to their GPs due to a learnt understanding of the chronicity and medico-social complications of rheumatological conditions. Fluent in English, Hindi, Gujarati and can speak Marathi.
